An Outsider's View

                                                               An Outsider's View

Crooks is a black stable hand that has a crooked back. He was treated int the story poorly. He was secluded and by himself. The guys at the ranch never included him in card games due to the fact that he is a minority. Since he was the minority he had to be cautious about the things he said. For example when he was telling Curly's wife to leave she threatened to have him lynched. When I moved to WV I was an outsider. I was because no one knew me I knew nothing about them. Being an outsider is hard and made me feel sad. I had no friends or someone to talk to. At school the students would treat me differently because they didn't know who I was or how I acted, some made assumptions about me. It's never a good feeling feeling like an outsider because you feel left out, unwanted. The group in control made me feel worthless. Like I should be here, or belonged. I felt like an outsider until I made friends. So when ever there are new people I want to be there for them as a friend so they don't have to feel the way I did. It hurts to feel left out and like you don't belong.
